future champs

one sporting event i watch whenever i can is gymnastics. be it in the olympics, world or european championships.  they're such a delight to watch.  i've always been amazed how a 5ft 8in alexei nemov seem to defy gravity and float when doing his piked sommersaults or back flips.  i've learned something about grit and determination when kerri strug nailed a vault landing despite her badly injured ankle back in the 96 olympics.  gymnastics is the sport of people who can combine finesse with power, grace with strength, pointed toes with clenched fists.

but that was american/european gymnastics.  and i'm extremely delighted to find some local youngsters who look like they've got the form, the strength and agility to make it big.  i wish they're gonna go beyond this talent show and make it real big in the world gymnastics arena.  for now, i hope they'll win the top prize in showtime.  and miss jones, you've got the right to be ultra-proud of your kabayans!  naimbag ngarud!
