Sometimes it is just so tiring being a film star's daughter.
Little Nahla Aubry was clearly looking forward to an afternoon nap after mum Halle Berry took her out for lunch out at a Los Angeles cafe.
Nahla, wearing pretty pink shawl and jeans, clutched a pink toy flamingo as she was carried by Halle to a waiting car.
In contrast, her mum looked positively sombre yesterday in dark blue jeans, black leather jacket and aviator sunglasses.
But the Oscar-winning actress was sporting some rather daring high wedge shoes as she carried the tot.
Halle is single after splitting from Nahla's dad, Canadian model Gabriel Aubry, in April.
The couple, who have worked out a shared custody arrangement for Nahla, appear to have remained on good terms since the break-up. Indeed, they will be spending a lot of time together in the next few months.
They are said to both be moving to South Africa as Halle works on location for her next movie Dark Tide, in which she plays a modern day adventurer.
Aubry will be looking after his daughter while Halle works.

Emmy skipped fattening ice cream and bought herself some healthy frozen yoghurt as she walked in Beverly Hills today.
With her adorable Yorkshire Terrier pulling on his lead, she popped into the shop and out of the sun.
Wearing high heels and fashionable smart shorts, it looked as if her preparations had been working.
The 25-year-old has been gearing up for her new role, hitting the gym hard in preparation for the nude scene which will be filmed at the end of the summer.
And Emmy is only too aware that with high definition TV, her every little flaw will be emphasised on screen.
'It is my first time being naked on screen so it is definitely a little stressful but I think you just gotta rock whatever God gave you and be proud of it,' she told RadarOnline.

The star has spent most of her time in New York City using boats for transport rather than cars.
After boarding luxury crafts for a date with her new man Miles Austin, then to celebrate sister Khloe's birthday, she partied on yet another deck yesterday.
Kim, 29, and a group of friends were marking the impending marriage of Alani 'Lala' Vazquez to Carmelo Anthony in New York last night.
Despite her recent experiences at sea, it seems Kim has yet to learn one of the basics of yacht etiquette.
Yesterday she teamed her black evening dress with a pair of towering stilettos.
As any self-respecting amateur sailor knows, the shoes are not suitable as they leave marks on the expensive deck.
But at 5ft 2 it seems Kim is just not prepared to leave the heels at home.
