Andy Samberg, TLI, & Akon - I Just Had Sex BEHIND THE SCENES

Thanks to Freya for the scoop!

This is pretty cool. Usually TLI does these short 1 minute behind the scenes videos that are set to music and you can't really hear anybody. So this is kind of cool to see one from Akon's perspective.

What do you think?

Enjoy!

Garfield Sex Music? ('We're Back' promo site)

UPDATE: We added more warnings that this is gross, and we listed out all the reasons why we know this came from The Lonely Island (it's called deductive reasoning; watch Psyche or Sherlock Holmes for more on that).

Thanks to Freya for the scoop!

WARNING: FREAKY FAN FICTION. ADULTS ONLY. THIS IS VERY GROSS. CLICK AT YOUR OWN RISK.

http://www.garfieldsexmusic.com/

It contains the animation of Garfield from We're Back. I couldn't bear to show that animated GIF here. It's just too disgusting. However, if you don't want to click the link, but still want to see Garfield being disgusting, you can see it briefly in their music video below (versus seeing it huge and constant, looped on the site).

This site was made by The Lonely Island as a viral attempt, and it links to:

http://www.thelonelyisland.com/video/were-back

Here's how we know it's from TLI:

1) They linked to it from their Twitter. (Thanks to Freya for posting that.)

2) It's their animation. It's in "We're Back."

3) Reminds me of Sloths and Giraffes, which are also by TLI.

4) It links to their "We're Back" video, so it's obviously a viral marketing tactic.

5) This is probably the 8th or so viral marketing attempt they've made (strange games, videos, or websites that promotes a TV show, movie, or video). So it's their M.O. I think their first ones were the Hot Rod game, Rod website, and series of Rod home videos they made for the Web.

Do these viral sites work? The Lonely Island keeps doing little things like this, so either they work or they just do it cuz it works a little and it's fun.

Either way, it's good for us (as long as it's not Garfield being nasty).

Enjoy!

========================

It's no surprise that Mother Lover, Shy Ronnie 2, and Threw it on the Ground are on there. I was expecting to see Shy Ronnie 1 and hoping to see some earlier songs they missed, but it is better to have original songs.

I am surprised that they picked Reba/When Two Worlds Collide to be on the CD, but it makes sense as a bonus track. I am glad they have Reba and Great Day as music videos.

Interestingly, "We'll Kill U" is not on the list of the songs, but it is a video. That likely means that the video is done and coming next, either as a digital short on SNL or to be aired on a show like Jimmy Fallon. For their last album, TLI aired We Like Sportz on YouTube only and not on TV (because it wasn't an Andy song, it didn't make sense to air it on SNL), but they might premiere more music videos on Jimmy Fallon (since it seems to have worked well with "We're Back," despite the fact that the video/song isn't so great).

My first guess is that "We'll Kill U" is the SNL digital short this week (or coming soon).

As Victoria mentioned, they didn't list all the collaborators yet. I still want them to do a music video with Jack Black. Jack promoted Awesometown for them, he was in Andy's Glurk skit during Andy's first season, and he did a song with them on Incredibad, but he has yet to be in one of their music videos.

So what songs do you want to hear/see the most (based only on the title)?

Here's my list:

1. Jack Sparrow
2. No Homo
3. Rocky
4. Trouble on Dookie Island
5. Turtleneck and Chains
6. Attracted to Us
7. Falcor VS Atreyu (not a song, but it might make a good digital short)

Enjoy!

Andy Samberg and TLI's hilarious Jimmy Fallon interview & "We're Back"

So Andy Samberg and the dudes sit down with Jimmy Fallon and talk it out.

Elton John digital short tonight! However, from the way Andy announced it, methinks it is not a musical digital short. But we'll see!

Andy Samberg coins the term "I Biebered" by referring to winking. It's also funny that of the four of them, Jimmy was the one to crack, "Pulling a Bieber is something totally different." Hilarious!

The Lonely Island boys show off their rejected album covers and reveal the final photo: “Turtleneck & Chain,” which Jorma explains was what they were wearing when they met in 7th grade. My favorite album cover was Andy's: 3 Morks. That would have been awesome! Keep it Simple was also pretty funny (we showed that one here already). Which was your favorite?

I suspect they weren't really rejected. They just brainstormed a lot of crazy ideas and turned all the funny ones into album covers.

I'm thinking that they might actually show more digital shorts on Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy has time to kill every night, and they can't always get their digital shorts in on SNL (this week it would be because this one is pure shock value and they have wanted to do one with Elton John instead). So maybe they'll show more shorts on Jimmy Fallon when they don't fit on SNL for whatever reason.

This is good for us fans, because that means more digital shorts from the dudes!

Watch the world premiere of The Lonely Island “We’re Back” music video:

Um, yeah, The Lonely Island has grown up? A total shock song. They announce that Akiva has a baby. Is it true? Probably, because the rumors are going around and they just spoke of it, but I'm not 100% certain.

I'm a little disappointed with this song, because I don't find these shock songs funny (reminds me of Roy Rules, Sloths, Tucker's Song, and Giraffes). What do you think?

And the reality is that half this song is bleeped. You can find the uncensored version on their YouTube channel.

All well, at least their interview was hilarious.

Enjoy!

Andy Samberg & TLI - New Album: "Turtleneck and Chain"

SNL's Lonely Island Return May 10 with 'Turtleneck and Chain'

Saturday Night Live comedy/parody troupe The Lonely Island -- Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone -- have wrapped up their new album Turtleneck and Chain for a May 10 arrival via Universal Republic. Known for their outrageous comic films and music parodies, a highlight on the long-running SNL series, the trio became an internet video sensation and released their debut album Incredibad in 2009 with videos "Jizz in My Pants", "Dick In A Box", "Lazy Sunday" and "Natalies Rap" (featuring Natalie Portman).

The new project, available as a digital release, a vinyl edition and a CD/DVD combo, will include such classics as "The Roommate" (with Justin Bieber), "Stumblin'", "I Just Had Sex" (featuring Akon and which spawned the album's title) and "The Creep" (with Nicki Manaj and John Waters).
