 The nominations for the 83rd Academy Awards were announced on Tuesday. The King's Speech is the leading contender at this year's Academy Awards with 12 nominations including nominations for best picture and acting honours for Colin Firth, Helena Bonham Carter and Geoffrey Rush. Rahman's last visit to the Oscars for Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionare landed him two Oscars, we hope that the winning team weaves their magic once again. Directed by Danny Boyle 127 Hours is the true story of mountain climber Aron Ralston's remarkable adventure to save himself after a fallen boulder crashes on his arm and traps him in an isolated canyon in Utah. 127 Hours has received 6 nods, including the nomination for best picture and a best actor nomination for James Franco.
